Fulham captain Tom Cairney has sent a message to teammate Tosin Adarabioyo after he posted a selection of his highlights from last season on Instagram.
The towering centre-back showcased his best moment on social media after a fantastic campaign.
Tosin Adarabioyo had plenty to prove last season on Fulham’s return to the top flight.
He signed from Manchester City in 2020 and Fulham were immediately relegated from the Premier League.
Last season, Tosin and Tim Ream formed a fantastic partnership as they were promoted as champions under Marco Silva.
The Portuguese masterminded another brilliant season as Fulham finished 10th, despite many expecting them to be fighting against relegation.
Captain Tom Cairney has now shared his thoughts on Tosin’s best moments for Fulham over the past 12 months.
His minutes may have been reduced by the signing of Issa Diop, but he stepped up when called upon throughout the campaign.
Fulham star Cairney blown away by Tosin highlights
The 25-year-old defender took to Instagram and posted his highlights reel with the caption: “22/23 done, 23/24 pending.”
Cairney was clearly impressed, but couldn’t help but make a joke as well: “Passing range in them size 14 preds is wild. What a player!”
Cairney apparently isn’t the only person who has been impressed by what they’ve seen from Tosin at Fulham.
The defender has been linked with a move to Tottenham amid claims he won’t sign a new contract.
An extension on his current deal was triggered last season, but only keeps him at the club for another year.
It means Fulham would have to sell him this summer to earn any meaningful fee from the centre-back.
Tosin has also reached the point in his career where he feels like it might be time to step up.
Fulham have already been linked with replacements, suggesting they know he may be on his way out.
With pre-season just around the corner, Silva will want his squad to be as settled as possible when they return from their holidays.
Fulham fans will hope both Cairney and Tosin are ready for another campaign at the Cottage, although that seems unlikely right now.
