Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
This isn’t the start to the transfer window Fulham would have wanted.
After securing Premier League survival for the first time since 2013 last season, the Whites had visions of establishing themselves in the top-flight for years to come, building around a core of young, talented players who could be difference-makers for years to come.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, one of Fulham’s most talented young players is now set to leave.
Indeed, Tosin Adarabioyo is set to be sold this summer according to Romano.
The defender has just enjoyed a brilliant season at Fulham, and after arriving for just £2m from Manchester City in 2018, he’s been nothing short of fantastic.
Sadly, all good things have to come to an end, and with Inter Milan showing an interest in Tosin, it looks as though he has his heart set on leaving.
Tosin will undoubtedly be brilliant in Serie A if he does head to Inter, just as Fikayo Tomori and Chris Smalling have been in recent years.
However, his departure does pose a huge problem for Fulham.
Indeed, if Tosin leaves, Marco Silva will have just two centre-backs in his squad in the shape of Tim Ream and Issa Diop, and while both players are solid enough, Ream is now 36 and is carrying an injury at the moment.
There are no two ways about it, Fulham need to go out and sign two or three centre-backs this summer.
Luckily, the Whites have quite a knack of finding a good centre-half in these summer transfer windows. Diop arrived last summer, while two years prior Joachim Andersen and Tosin were acquired.
A few more deals of that nature would be very handy for Fulham as they look to shore up their defence and avoid the dreaded second-season syndrome in the Premier League.
