Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Fulham have made an enquiry to Roma about American international defender Bryan Reynolds.
Reports from La Repubblica and Gazette dello Sport have been relayed by Planeta Roma.
Fulham are in the market for defenders this summer.
Already, the loan deals for Cedric Soares and Layvin Kurzawa have already expired.
Neither player made a real impact on Marco Silva’s team thanks to the form of Kenny Tete and Antonee Robinson.
Kevin Mbabu also spent half of the season on loan after failing to adapt to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo appears to be set to leave the club this summer.
This could leave Fulham very short of options and so replacements are already being lined up.
Centre-back Igor has been lined up as a potential Tosin replacement already in this window.
In order to offer more cover at right-back, Fulham have now made an enquiry about Bryan Reynolds.
The 21-year-old was signed for £6m from FC Dallas in 2021 but has spent much of his time at Roma on loan in Belgium.
Now, he could be set for a move to the Premier League.
Fulham make enquiry about Reynolds
The report suggests that his most recent loan side, KVC Westerlo, have made a £2.5m bid for Reynolds.
However, despite being up for sale, Roma are keen to make back the money on their investment.
They also want an outright deal to be done for Reynolds, rather than another loan move.
Reynolds could prove to be a relatively cheap backup to Kenny Tete going into next season.
The Dutch defender was sensational next season, but has had his injury issues and does need to manage his minutes.
Fulham manager Silva could enquire with Robinson about Reynolds as the pair have played for the USA together.
He missed out on joining Robinson in the CONCACAF Nations League squad that won the tournament against Canada yesterday.
Reynolds hasn’t set the world alight yet, but won’t have been helped by already playing for four different clubs before the age of 21.
He’s not as attacking as Tete and would need to improve on his passing to adapt to Marco Silva’s possession-heavy style.
