Fulham keen to sign ‘unbelievable’ PL defender, he’s not in his current manager’s plans

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.

Fulham are now keen to sign Manchester United defender Eric Bailly with deadline day approaching.

A report from the Daily Mail has shared more details about the club’s transfer plans.

The transfer window closes in just 11 days and Marco Silva will still be demanding plenty of incomings.

Losing Aleksandar Mitrovic to Al-Hilal at the weekend topped off a very bad Saturday for the club.

Individual mistakes cost Fulham against local rivals Brentford at Craven Cottage as they ran out 3-0 winners.

Issa Diop’s poor back pass gifted Yoane Wissa the perfect chance to open the scoring before Tim Ream was sent off for two harsh yellow cards.

Fulham are keen to add to their centre-back options and have once again turned to Manchester United’s Eric Bailly.

The 29-year-old doesn’t appear to be in Erik ten Hag’s having not been in either matchday squad this season.

He could be offered a way out by Fulham this summer who may have to replace one of their current defensive options.

Fulham keen on Bailly

The report from the Daily Mail states that, ‘[Marco] Silva has underlined the need to strengthen throughout his squad.

‘A move for Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is still possible while they are competing with Nottingham Forest for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi.’

Described as an ‘unbelievable’ defender by current teammate Luke Shaw, Bailly is an interesting option for Fulham.

The Ivorian international has shown flashes of brilliance during his time at Old Trafford.

He was originally signed for £30m but injuries have scuppered his recent career.

Bailly managed just five starts on loan at Marseille last season and he hasn’t started more than 11 league games in a campaign since 2016/17.

That injury record should really be avoided even if Fulham are keen on signing Bailly.

The future of Tosin Adarabioyo needs to be addressed soon as he looks set to depart.

Bailly is not the answer though as there’s no guarantee he’ll be fit enough to play a meaningful part this season.

Just look at the impact Terence Kongolo has made at Fulham who incredibly is still on the books at Craven Cottage.
