Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Fulham are now considering a move to sign Manchester City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis this summer.
Journalist Tom Barclay, supported by a report from the Evening Standard have provided more details on the 21-year-old’s future.
As the transfer window rolls on, Fulham fans still patiently wait for their first signing.
It doesn’t look like any incomings are imminent right now, although pre-season training has at least started now.
Marco Silva has plenty of work to do with his squad to build on their impressive 10th-place finish last season.
All eyes will be on whether Willian returns next season after the club offered him a second contract following the expiry of his previous deal.
Another player who could be on his way out of the club this summer is Tosin Adarabioyo.
Tottenham have been linked with a move, but Fulham are considering replacing him with Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
Fulham signed Tosin from Manchester City and could return again to the Etihad to bring in their next centre-back.
It’s not a bad place to buy players from, as Arsenal proved last season.
Fulham consider move for Harwood-Bellis
Taking to Twitter, Barclay said: “Bit of transfer news involving England Under-21s captain Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
“Fulham and West Ham are both considering moving for him in this window.”
The report from the Evening Standard added that Man City want £15m for the young defender who has just one year left on his contract.
Harwood-Bellis has had a fantastic 12 months for both club and country.
He was signed by Man City legend Vincent Kompany on loan last summer and helped Burnley win the Championship.
The 21-year-old played 32 games as the Clarets made an immediate return to the Premier League.
Harwood-Bellis then captained England Under-21s to victory in the European Championships this summer.
Alongside Levi Colwill and with James Trafford in goal, England didn’t concede a single goal throughout the tournament.
Fulham considering a move for Harwood-Bellis makes a lot of sense this summer.
The club have already lost Shane Duffy, could lose Tosin and Tim Ream isn’t getting any younger.
A talented 21-year-old defender would be the perfect remedy for Marco Silva’s squad.
