Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Fulham are interested in a move for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi as they continue to thin out their squad.
That’s according to a report from journalist Ben Jacobs, posted on Caught Offside.
Fulham continue to assess the transfer market without making their first move.
After years of moving between England’s top two divisions, Fulham finally have some stability.
Marco Silva guided Fulham to a remarkable 10th-place finish last season on their latest return to the Premier League.
It should have given the club plenty of time to prepare for next season, however, no signings appear to be close at this stage.
Plenty of names have been linked with moves to Craven Cottage, such as Joshua Brenet and James Ward-Prowse.
The latest player Fulham are reportedly interested in signing is Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Once called ‘one of the best’ talents in Europe by Arjen Robben, his development has stuttered in recent seasons.
A move to Fulham might be just what he needs to reignite his career.
Fulham interested in Hudson-Odoi
Ben Jacobs suggests that Fulham are one of several Premier League teams interested in Hudson-Odoi.
West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brentford are keen too, while there are also links with a move to Saudi Arabia.
Callum Hudson-Odoi burst onto the scene just after his 17th birthday, making his debut under Antonio Conte for Chelsea.
His game time at Stamford Bridge slowly increased season after season until the 2021/22 campaign.
After playing just 1,000 minutes the year before, he saw his game limited further at a crucial stage in his development.
A loan move to Bayer Leverkusen was organised last season, however, that didn’t go to plan either.
He managed just 14 league appearances and only recorded a single assist, spending most of the season on the bench.
Fulham are interested in Hudson-Odoi based purely on his potential at this stage, as he’s struggled for regular minutes.
He has three England caps and at his best was one of the most exciting young wingers in the league.
With Willian’s new contract not yet agreed and Manor Solomon potentially not returning to Fulham, the club need to seek out alternatives.
Hudson-Odoi is unlikely to come to Fulham as a starter but will have plenty of motivation to prove he’s good enough to play at the highest level.
