SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
According to The Athletic, Ethan Horvath turned down a move to Fulham in favour of Nottingham Forest this week.
The American goalkeeper has signed for the Reds, despite the fact it was reported earlier this month that Fulham were leading the race for his signature.
The Whites were seemingly in the box seat to sign Horvath, but all of a sudden he’s joined Forest.
So, what went wrong?
Well according to The Athletic, Forest managed to lure Horvath to the City Ground with assurances that he’d be able to challenge Brice Samba for the number one spot in the East Midlands.
Fulham, with Marek Rodak between the sticks, seemingly have their number one for the season sorted, and Horvath would have had to play second fiddle this term, something that he seemingly wasn’t willing to do.
It will be interesting to see whether or not Fulham now move for another second-choice goalkeeper or keep Fabri as Rodak’s understudy for the upcoming season.
The Whites don’t have long before the season starts to get this sorted, but in all honesty, this isn’t the most pressing of matters at the moment.
