Tottenham Hotspur forward Brennan Johnson is already expecting a very tough game against Fulham this weekend.

Fulham are back at Craven Cottage this weekend after a disappointing trip to Molineux on Saturday afternoon.

A 2-1 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers leaves Marco Silva desperate for a response back at home against Tottenham Hotspur.

Recent wins over Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion left fans excited, believing that real momentum was building for the final stages of the season.

Saturday’s defeat was a real dent and Fulham will be desperate to put it right against Tottenham this weekend…

Brennan Johnson on Fulham clash

Tottenham will be a tough clash.

Spurs beat Aston Villa 4-0 on Sunday afternoon, strengthening their push for a top-four finish.

Tottenham comfortably beat Fulham 2-0 in October with Son Heung-min and James Maddison on the scoresheet.

Ange Postecoglou will be looking for a repeat performance but Fulham did dump Spurs out of the Carabao Cup back in August.

Silva would no doubt love to dent Tottenham again and one Spurs player is expecting a very difficult match.

Forward Brennan Johnson has been in great form of late and found the net against Villa on Sunday.

The Welshman will be a big danger man for Saturday’s game and he has told SPURSPLAY that Fulham can really hurt Spurs if at their best.

“We’re really excited, especially when we play like this, but we know at the same time that we’ve got another tough away fixture next week at a place where they can perform and they have put teams away, so yeah, take every positive we can from this game and try and build for the next game,” he added.

Tottenham are no doubt aware of the quality Fulham possess, especially having watched those wins over Manchester United and Brighton.

Spurs won’t want to be Fulham’s next victims and will be looking for ways to nullify the likes of Rodrigo Muniz and former Arsenal man Alex Iwobi.

This promises to be a fascinating encounter and it’s nice to see Johnson paying respect to Fulham with his comments ahead of Saturday’s meeting.
