Fulham have held ‘in-depth’ talks with a view to signing Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson at the end of the season.
Fulham may need to have a few midfield targets in mind for the summer.
After all, Joao Palhinha is bound to attract huge interest and Fulham seem open to selling the Portugal star.
Tony Khan told TalkSPORT in February that Fulham would consider sensible offers for Palhinha this summer.
Losing Palhinha would be a huge blow for Fulham and talks appear to have started for one new midfield addition…
Fulham moving for Lewis Ferguson
Calciomercato in Italy now claim that Fulham have held ‘in-depth’ talks to try and bring Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson to West London.
It’s stated that Nottingham Forest have also made moves for Ferguson, but their precarious relegation situation means Fulham will have confidence of fending them off.
The report adds that four Serie A clubs – Juventus, AC Milan, Napoli and Atalanta – are also chasing Ferguson for the summer window.
Ferguson joined Bologna from Aberdeen in 2022 and has become one of Italian football’s top midfielders.

Six goals and three assists this season have put Ferguson on the radar of many clubs, so Fulham will face a real battle.
Hailed as ‘incredible’ by journalist Alasdair Mackenzie, Ferguson seems primed for a big move in the near future.
Whether Ferguson would really be a replacement for Palhinha is another matter though, as he has actually played more of an attacking role for Bologna this season.
Ferguson could play deeper if needed but his energy is better used higher up the pitch, so maybe Fulham are eyeing him alongside another midfield option to revamp Marco Silva’s engine room.
That would make more sense than viewing Ferguson as a direct replacement for Palhinha, with Fulham seemingly pressing ahead with a potential summer deal.
