Fulham are now considering a move for Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson in the summer with his contract set to expire.

The Brazilian connection at Craven Cottage is always growing and Felipe Anderson could be the latest player to join the Lusophones ranks.

A report from CalcioMercato suggests that the Whites are one of several teams considering a move for the 30-year-old.

Speaking ahead of Fulham’s historic Carabao Cup match against Liverpool on Wednesday, Marco Silva has delivered a stark warning to fans about their potential activity in this month’s transfer window.

He admitted that it’s likely to be a quiet month for the club, meaning fans will have to wait until the summer to see a flurry of new faces join Fulham.

After selling Aleksandar Mitrovic for a bumper fee, there should be money available to Silva to spend right now.

However, it looks like Fulham are eyeing a cheap move for Felipe Anderson in the summer when his Lazio contract expires.

It could be the case that Fulham want to save funds for other players by bringing in the 30-year-old.

Especially as Tosin Adarabioyo may need replacing with Bayern Munich eyeing the giant centre-back.

The report states that the Brazilian has entered the final six months of his contract but Lazio haven’t given up convincing him to renew his current deal.

Juventus are also interested in a move, while Inter Milan and Saudi club have made enquiries in recent days.

However, Aston Villa and Fulham are named as two Premier League sides who have been consulted on his future, but he’s not keen on a return to Brazil just yet despite three top-flight teams eyeing the winger.

Anderson left London rivals West Ham for £2.6m to join Lazio after initially signing for the Hammers for a then club-record £36m.

Silva has shown that he can get the best out of players in the twilights of their careers.

The evolution of Willian has been sensational, while Tim Ream just signed a new contract keeping him at the club until just before his 38th birthday.

It’s understandable why Fulham would make a move for Anderson if he’s available for free.

However, they need to start bringing the average age of the squad down as that’s what eventually cost them during the 2013/14 season when they were relegated to the Championship.
