It looks like the ongoing transfer saga between Bayern Munich, Fulham and Joao Palhinha is going to continue in the January transfer window.
German journalist Christian Falk has taken to social media to share the latest information he’s heard about the Portuguese midfielder’s future.
It’s no surprise to see Joao Palhinha linked with an exit from Craven Cottage once again despite signing a new contract in September.
The 28-year-old is one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe and continues to put up table-topping tackling stats for Fulham.
He’s currently in the Portuguese first team ahead of the European Championships and will want to do everything he can to stay there this season.

However, one way he can prove he should be playing for his country in the summer is to play for the best team possible at club level.
While Palhinha is competing in the strongest league in the world every week with Fulham, we can’t offer him European football just yet.
Bayern Munich, on the other hand, certainly can, and have once again been linked with Palhinha in January.
Christian Falk has shared the latest information he’s heard on any potential news.
Although it’s only the middle of November, it’s an update that plenty of Fulham fans will want to hear.
Palhinha to Bayern in January rumours discussed
Portuguese journalist Pedro Almeida made a very bold claim on social media today, simply stating: “João Palhinha will be a Bayern Munich player in January.”
However, Falk – who is closely connected to Bayern Munich – has refuted that claim.
His updates had Fulham fans on edge throughout the summer and said on X, formerly Twitter, today: “It is NOT TRUE that it is already decided that João Palhinha will be a Bayern Munich player in January.
“Palhinha still wants to go to Bayern. No offer or agreement with Fulham yet.”
Fulham will hope to fend off any interest from Bayern in Palhinha next January, especially after his recent contract extension.
However, the allure of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world has already seen Palhinha travel to Germany once.

If they could convince Harry Kane to leave Spurs in the summer then they’ll think Joao is just as attainable.
It’s whether or not they’re willing to make a suitable offer and if Fulham can find the required replacement this time around.
