Fulham have reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup for the first time in nearly 20 years and have Rodrigo Muniz to thank for their win over Ipswich Town.
The young Brazilian took to social media after scoring his first goal of the season at Portman Road last night.
Marco Silva made eight changes to the side that drew with Brighton on Sunday with an early kick-off on Saturday against Manchester United on the horizon.
They might have been slightly fortunate that high-flying Ipswich completely rotated their starting line-up which immediately suggested where their priorities lie right now.
Fulham dominated the match and were unlucky to have only won the match 3-1 in the end.
Harry Wilson capitalised on a poor decision from Christian Walton in the Ipswich goal to slot into the empty net before the ten-minute mark.
Rodrigo Muniz doubled Fulham’s lead against Ipswich just after half-time, latching onto a brilliant pass from Andreas Pereira.

Tom Cairney wrapped up the game with his first away goal in three years as Marco Silva’s side reached their second cup quarter-final in 2023.
He’ll be hoping their trip to Everton next month goes better than the visit to Old Trafford in the FA Cup last season.
Muniz stars for Fulham against Ipswich
Posting on Instagram after the match, Muniz said: “Brazilian style…Vamos Fulham FC.”
Plenty of Muniz’s Fulham teammates responded, with Alex Iwobi replying with a dancing emoji, referring to his goal celebration.
Both Joao Palhinha and Willian thought he was on fire, while Carlos Vinicius simply said: “Wow!”

The question for Marco Silva now is who should start up front against Manchester United on Saturday.
There was some goodwill for Raul Jimenez before last weekend’s match against Brighton despite his goalless streak continuing.
However, Muniz looked full of energy and willing to run into the ground at the Amex and his goal against Ipswich might make him Fulham’s best option to play as the main centre-forward.

Fulham are in the market for a new striker in January, but Muniz will want to prove he can be the main man this season.
After barely playing for Middlesbrough last season while on loan, he could be about to start against a Man United side who are in turmoil following their defeat to Newcastle last night.
