Fulham want to sign another World Cup number nine who’s very similar to Harry Kane

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.

Fulham now want to sign Werder Bremen forward Niclas Fullkrug in the final hours of the transfer window.

A report from the Evening Standard has shared who Fulham are targeting before Friday evening’s deadline.

Fulham confirmed their latest signing yesterday by bringing in Timothy Castagne from Leicester.

He watched on as his new side defeated Tottenham Hotspur on penalties in the Carabao Cup yesterday.

It was the first defeat of new manager Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs career and thoroughly deserved for Fulham.

It’s very likely that the Belgian defender will be joined by at least one more signing before the window closes.

Fulham want to sign a new striker and Niclas Fullkrug has been identified as a potential target.

The 30-year-old forward was Germany’s number nine at last year’s World Cup.

He’s scored 35 Bundesliga goals in the past two seasons and would very much fit the same mould as Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Fulham want Bremen forward Fullkrug

The report from the Evening Standard states that, ‘Fulham are pursuing a bid for Niclas Fullkrug as they look to add multiple new strikers to their squad before the transfer deadline, with a £15million deal for Sevilla forward Lucas Ocampos agreed.’

Fullkrug is joined on Fulham’s shortlist by Brazilian forward Pedro who also earned a call-up to last year’s World Cup.

The 30-year-old is at his peak right now and would be a very handy addition to the Fulham squad.

According to FBRef, the most similar player to him is Harry Kane which is incredibly exciting.

He’s phenomenal in the air but also a brilliant progressive passer and creates plenty of chances too.

The thing that might put some fans off is his age. Fulham have one of the oldest squads in the league already and adding a 30-year-old might not make much sense in the long-term.

However, Fulham will want to concentrate on the short-term as well and Fullkrug would be an excellent addition.

Plenty will happen in the next two days at Craven Cottage, with Tony Khan synonymous with trying to secure a deadline day deal.
