Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Fulham want to sign Juventus striker Moise Kean this summer as they search for a replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic.
That’s according to a report from the Evening Standard which shares more details about the Italian international’s future.
Fulham fan’s worst nightmare was realised last weekend when talismanic striker Aleksandar Mitrovic departed the club.
Marco Silva’s side had just suffered a 3-0 defeat to fierce rivals Brentford when the news broke.
Although Fulham have already signed a striker this summer, a proper replacement for Mitrovic is still needed.
Raul Jimenez has led the line in Fulham’s first two matches but hasn’t found the back of the net yet.
He has a similar profile to Mitrovic but has not been anywhere near as prolific in recent year.
Fulham now want to sign Moise Kean to provide more competition in the centre-forward role.
The Italian international only signed permanently for Juventus in March for £25m.
However, they sense they could make a quick profit on a player who has had his own issues in front of goal.
Fulham want Moise Kean
The report from the Evening Standard suggests an approach has already been made for the 23-year-old.
Moise Kean was touted as a wonderkid when he came through the Juventus academy and was scoring goals in Serie A at the age of 17 with Hellas Verona.
However, a move to Everton did not go to plan with Silva previously managing him at Goodison Park.
Although he struggled during his time on Merseyside, Silva at the time said: “He has all the support from myself, from the club, from his team-mates, to keep adapting to the Premier League.
“Moise has all the support here, he doesn’t need to find anything more in his career. We bought him, we really believe in him.”
It’s a worrying sign that Fulham want to sign Kean off the back of a season where he only scored six goals for Juventus.
Fulham are also targeting Hugo Ekitike who ended up replacing Kean after the last successful spell of his career while at PSG.
Given Raul Jimenez arrived after failing to hit the back of the net in the league last year, Silva will have his work cut out helping both forwards get back to their best form.
