Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Tim Ream is raring to go ahead of the new season.
Speaking on his new podcast, The American Dream, the centre-half was discussing his summer break and his fitness regime.
During the off-season, many footballers can let themselves go a bit as they enjoy some sunshine and a few treats to cap off a year’s worth of hard work.
However, Ream has stayed disciplined. Even during his family trip to Disneyland this summer he was doing a lot of running, and he says that working in the Florida heat has been a huge benefit for him as he feels fit as a fiddle heading into the new campaign.
Ream feeling amazing
The defender spoke about how good he feels.
“The days we were at the pool I would hit it hard, there were running trails that I ran. I was on distance runs for set time and going for eight, 10 or 12 minutes. For me, running in that heat and then coming back to London. I was so glad I ran in the heat because now I feel super duper fit. I was heaving, huffing and puffing for sure, but as soon as I finished I was back to the pool with the family,” Ream said.
Great to hear
This is fantastic news for Fulham as they head into the new season.
At the age of 35, time isn’t really on Ream’s side, and one summer off could spell the beginning of the end of his playing career.
However, as the consummate professional, Ream is doing everything he can to make sure he’s at his best heading into next season, and if he’s anywhere near as good as he was last year, Fulham won’t have anything to worry about in terms of their backline.
Ream was incredible last term and we’re hoping for more of the same this time around.
