Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
There have been huge question marks over Manor Solomon’s future at Fulham since day one.
The Israeli international was signed under dubious circumstances as Fulham took advantage of FIFA’s ruling regarding foreign players in Ukraine. The deal was on, off and then on again, and when he did sign, he was immediately injured.
Solomon then made his mark in early 2023, scoring five goals in five games for the Whites, but since then he’s been relegated to the bench once more.
For the longest time it’s looked as though Marco Silva isn’t actually the biggest fan of Solomon, but according to The Standard, that isn’t the case.
Indeed, The Standard now report that Silva is keen for Solomon to be signed up permanently.
This is interesting to say the least as the Fulham manager really hasn’t had much use for Solomon this season.
He’s consistently left him on the bench, even when he’s been in great form, but he clearly sees some sort of future for Solomon at the club as he wants him signed.
Sadly, getting Solomon to sign permanently may be a tough task.
Indeed, the player may not be too happy with his lack of playing time this season, while ongoing interest from Tottenham Hotspur certainly won’t help the Whites’ case either.
Factor in that Shakhtar Donetsk’s Sergei Palkin has threatened to take Tottenham to court if they sign Solomon, it appears that this one is quite messy to say the least.
There is certainly a talented player in there with Solomon, he showed that in the early knockings of this year, but given that he’s been benched in favour of Willian and Fulham haven’t really missed him, you can’t help but wonder if this signing is worth all the fuss attached to it.
