Some Fulham fans on social media are buzzing after Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa was spotted reporting back for first-team training.
The Cameroon international had seemingly been given an extended break after last season, with no pictures of the midfielder emerging in the first week of pre-season action.
Of course, his absence raised questions as to whether or not he would ever return to Fulham, but he’s back now, and it looks as though he’s ready to go.
Anguissa has continually been linked with a move away, and while he may still depart, the fact that he’s back in training hints that he could still be in Marco Silva’s plans.
Better players have stayed and played for worse teams at this level. Ismaila Sarr and Max Aarons were both promoted last season despite interest from Liverpool and Bayern Munich respectively, so Anguissa staying surely isn’t out of the question.
