SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
According to a report by the Mail, Leeds United are interested in signing Fulham midfielder Harrison Reed this summer.
Reed was one of the stars of Fulham’s season, and despite the fact the Whites were relegated after a poor campaign, he stood out as one of the London club’s star performers.
Understandably, his performances have garnered interest from Premier League sides, and it seems as though Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds are keen to bring him in.
To be fair, we can absolutely understand what Victor Orta and his recruitments team see in Reed.
The midfield maestro is a tireless worker in the middle of the park, an astute tackler who doesn’t stop running and in Bielsa’s gung-ho system, he’d be an absolute perfect fit.
Of course, the move depends on Reed’s desire to leave and Leeds matching Fulham’s asking price, which, after a fantastic season should be rather high.
The sad reality is that after a relegation season your star players are likely to be picked off by clubs in a better position, and it seems as though Reed to Leeds could be the first exit in what could be a fire sale at Craven Cottage this summer.
Whether or not this move comes to fruition remains to be seen, but it’s certainly a situation to keep an eye on.
