SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
Fulham have a lot of reshaping to do this summer, and while new acquisitions are vital, it’s just as important for the Whites to shift their deadwood, and trust us, there’s plenty of it.
Relegation to the Championship brings about financial difficulties and cost-cutting measures, so with that in mind, we’re going to have a look at three players Fulham need to shift this summer.
Jean-Michael Seri
The Jean-Michael Seri nightmare simply has to end this summer.
The Ivorian is reportedly earning £65,000 a week at Fulham and with the Whites unlikely to ever use him again, those wages need to be shifted somehow.
Finding a buyer for Seri will be easier said than done, he’s spent the last two seasons out on loan and nobody has been willing to commit to paying a fee for the former Nice star.
One way or another, the Whites need to find a way to cut ties with Seri during the off-season.
Alfie Mawson
Another ludicrously high-earner, Alfie Mawson spent the majority of last season out on loan at Bristol City.
Mawson actually performed rather well for the Robins, and on his day, he’s a fantastic player. After all, he’s even been called-up to the England squad.
However, considering his injury record, his lofty wages and Fulham’s depth at centre-half, it’s probably time for the Whites to wave goodbye to the £20m former Swansea ace.
Maxime Le Marchand
A similar story to his former Nice teammate Seri, Le Marchand simply isn’t good enough to play for Fulham.
The defender is also a victim of Fulham’s depth in the defence, and the fact that he currently earns a hefty wage at Craven Cottage also doesn’t work in his favour.
Le Marchand himself has admitted he’d quite like to sign for a top Belgian club, and Fulham should be doing all they can to make that dream a reality for the Frenchman.
