SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
According to a report by The Athletic, Aleksandar Mitrovic is set to leave Fulham if the Whites decide to keep Scott Parker on next season.
It’s no secret that Parker hasn’t fancied Mitrovic this term, he’s been on the bench for the majority of the campaign and he’s scored just three goals.
Unfortunately for Mitrovic, Fulham reportedly see Parker as the man to guide them through next season’s Championship campaign, and it seems as though the Serbian could be on his way out.
However, that doesn’t mean that Mitrovic’s departure is guaranteed. Fulham will want to receive a hefty fee for their star striker and it’s hard to see any club coughing up the cash for the former Newcastle man after his underwhelming campaign.
Another saving grace for Mitrovic could be Parker’s departure this summer. Yes, the gaffer is reportedly going to be backed by the Fulham hierarchy, but links to the Tottenham job seemingly just won’t go away, while the FA are also reportedly eyeing him up for the England U21s job.
Losing Mitrovic would of course be a massive blow. After all, he won the Championship’s Golden Boot award the last time he played at this level, but if his mind is made up, the Whites may have to let him go.
Whether or not Mitrovic actually leaves Fulham this summer remains to be seen, but it looks as though the Serbian may not be at Craven Cottage for much longer.
