SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
According to Football Insider, Fulham have once again sent scouts to watch Peterborough United winger Siriki Dembele.
It seems as though Fulham have been linked with Dembele for years at this point, and they’ve not backed off in the hunt to sign him.
Barry Fry has previously confirmed that Brian Talbot has watched Dembele personally, and it seems as though Fulham remain keen on the Posh winger.
“Fulham have watched Siriki five times. Brian was at the game on Saturday and he sent me a message after the game to say they wouldn’t be making an offer during the current transfer window,” Fry said.
“That’s not to say they won’t be back in the summer when clubs’ finances are clearer.”
It seems as though that summer move Fry talked about could be on the cards.
However, it certainly won’t be a cheap move. Peterborough have just been promoted, so aren’t likely to be pressurised into selling one of their prized assets like Dembele.
Dembele looks to be a really exciting player, netting 11 times for the League One outfit this term, and as Ivan Toney has shown this season, players from League One can shine in the Championship if given the chance.
It remains to be seen whether or not Fulham make this move, but this is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming months.
