Some Fulham fans on social media have been expressing their frustration after Scott Parker announced yet another injury to Terence Kongolo.

The Dutch defender initially joined Fulham in January 2020, and after just two appearances he was ruled out for the season.

The former Huddersfield Town man then returned to the Terriers, before a move to Fulham fell apart due to a failed medical, but on deadline day, the Whites went back in for him and got the deal over the line.

Signing a player who has failed a medical and is carrying an injury is always risky, but in this case it just looks downright idiotic.

Kongolo then missed the first three months of the season due to the injury he picked up last January, before returning almost a year on from that fateful game against Manchester City.

Unfortunately, his appearance against QPR in the FA Cup would be his last appearance for another three months as an achilles tendon problem kept him sidelined until last Friday’s game against Wolves.

Now it has emerged that Kongolo has once again picked up an injury and won’t play again this season.

Usually, news of a long-term injury would be greeted with sympathy and well-wishes, but this time it was frustration and anger amongst the Fulham fanbase and we can understand why.

Signing a player who failed a medical and was carrying a long-term injury is an utterly braindead decision, and while Kongolo was quite good against Wolves, he’s looking like a dreadful signing due to the fact he can’t stay fit.

Here’s what the Craven Cottage faithful have been saying on social media…
