SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Fulham are interested in signing Ike Ugbo from Chelsea.
The young striker has spent this season out on loan in Belgium, and he’s been shining for Cercle Brugge, netting 16 goals already this term.
Fulham certainly need a striker who can put the ball back in the net, and Ugbo looks like he’d be a good fit.
Unfortunately, the Whites aren’t the only team interested in the forward, with Romano claiming that Monaco are also looking at him.
“Before we talk about Bayern I just want to give you a quick one about the young talent owned by Chelsea, Ike Ugbo. He’s a striker, playing for Cercle Brugge in Belgium, he is doing so well, scored 16 goals his season, he’s on loan at Brugge, they wanted to sign him, but the player wants to go because he has many proposals,” Romano said.
“He’s coming back to Chelsea, but Chelsea are prepared to sell him on a permanent deal this summer. Keep an eye on Monaco and Fulham because they’re asking for info.”
Romano would go on to name Eintracht Frankfurt and Sampdoria as other clubs who are keen on him.
Due to the amount of interest from Europe’s top divisions, it’s hard to see Fulham pulling this one off, especially if they’re relegated, but if the Whites manage to stay in the Premier League, Ugbo could be tempted to stay in west London and move just down the road from Chelsea.
