SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
According to a report by TeamTalk, Arsenal are amongst the clubs interested in 18-year-old Fulham defender Ibane Bowat.
Bowat is yet to appear for the first-team at Craven Cottage, but he’s been making waves in the youth ranks, so much so that he’s caught the Gunners’ eye.
Arsenal are known for sniffing out talented young players, so the fact that they’re in for Bowat bodes well for the young man’s future, but you have to feel that Fulham will struggle to keep hold of him if the north London outfit come knocking.
The Whites have made a bad habit of losing their young stars before they hit their prime, with the likes of Ryan Sessegnon, Harvey Elliott and Matt O’Riley departing the club before the age of 21, despite being tipped to be the next big things in west London.
With both Sessegnon and Elliott performing brilliantly out on loan at Hoffenheim and Blackburn respectively, you would have hoped that Fulham had learnt their lesson when it comes to retaining their young talents.
Losing Bowat won’t be too much of a blow for Fulham in the short term, after all, he’s never played a game for the club, but with a number of Premier League outfits looking at securing his signature, this could end up being a situation that Fulham regret in years to come.
Let’s just hope that the right decision is made by all parties here.
