Fulham’s resurgence in recent weeks has largely been down to the good performances of their loan players.
Indeed, the likes of Joachim Andersen, Ola Aina and Alphonse Areola have been exceptional as of late, but perhaps the best of the bunch has been Ademola Lookman.
The winger has scored some vital goals this season, and he’s been Fulham’s brightest spark going forward.
Unfortunately, the problem when you build your team around loan players is that they eventually have to go back to their parent club.
Luckily for Fulham, it seems as though Lookman will be available this summer.
Indeed, Bild report that the former Everton man has a number of suitors in England, but RB Leipzig aren’t keen to let him go cheaply.
Indeed, the report states that the Bundesliga outfit want at least €17m (£14.7m) for Lookman this summer.
Fulham have struggled to spend big in recent years after their £100m splurge back in 2018, but this is a deal that they may want to consider.
Lookman has certainly shown that he’s worthy of fetching a hefty fee this season, and while £14.7m is a lot of money, it may be a gamble worth taking.
Of course, with a number of Premier League teams looking at the winger, Lookman’s future at Craven Cottage likely depends on whether or not the Whites stay up this season, and his performances may be key in the London club’s quest to beat the drop.
