SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
Speaking to The Guardian, Ademola Lookman has shared the best piece of advice he got after missing a crucial penalty against West Ham.
It’s hard to forget what happened at the London Stadium back in November as Lookman’s Panenka penalty was easily stopped by Lukasz Fabianksi, denying Fulham an equaliser with the last kick of the game.
As you can imagine, Lookman felt rather low after his miss, but he received a vital piece of advice that helped him bounce back.
“When that incident happened I couldn’t even describe the devastation,” Lookman said.
“I can only try to atone for that error. That was a key thing which people told me after that moment happened – it is about how I come back and use it to turn it into something positive.”
While that dropped point against West Ham hurts, we have to say that Lookman has more than atoned for his mistake.
His goals against Leicester was massive in helping Fulham towards their second win of the season, and there’s an argument to be made that Lookman has actually been Fulham’s Player of the Season so far.
Lookman’s showings have made it very easy for the Fulham fanbase to forgive him for what happened against West Ham, and we can only hope that he manages to grab another goal against Sheffield United on Saturday after scoring in the reverse fixture back in October.
