SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
Fulham play their third London derby in the last seven days on Saturday as they face off against Chelsea at Craven Cottage.
The Whites are now six games unbeaten in all competitions after holding Tottenham to a draw on Wednesday evening, and they will be hoping to extend that run against their closest rivals on Saturday.
Frank Lampard’s side are going through what we can only call a dodgy run of form at the moment, so there is every reason for Scott Parker and his side to feel confident coming into this one.
However, if Fulham are to get anything against Chelsea, they have to get their team selection spot on.
With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Fulham’s starting XI against Chelsea.
We expect this starting line-up to look very similar to the one that started against Tottenham.
Alphonse Areola is nigh on undroppable at the moment, so it’s no surprise to see him retain his spot between the sticks, while the back five remains the same as what we saw against Spurs.
The midfield pivot of Harrison Reed and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa did a great job of dealing with Tottenham’s physicality in the middle of the park, and while the likes of Jorginho, Mason Mount and Billy Gilmour will pose a different threat, we expect them to retain their spots.
The front three is where the only change for this game is.
Indeed, Ruben Loftus-Cheek misses out here due to the fact this game is against his parent club, so in comes Ademola Lookman, while Ivan Cavaleiro moves back into the number 9 spot.
Had Loftus-Cheek been available, Scott Parker would have had something of a selection headache after Lookman and Cavaleiro combined for the Whites’ goal against Spurs, but he’s had that decision made for him here.
