SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
Some Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that they’ve extended the loan of Fulham-owned Anthony Knockaert.
The Frenchman was due to return to Fulham on January 7th after the end of his initial three-month loan deal, but Forest have now agreed a deal to keep him at the City Ground until the end of the season.
Reds supporters on social media were largely happy with the news.
Knockaert is something of a polarising player amongst Fulham fans, he arrived last season with a lot of hype surrounding him, after all, he’d won the Championship Player of the Year award in his last second-tier season before joining the Whites.
Unfortunately, Knockaert didn’t quite reach the heights expected of him last season, contributing to just seven goals, before being shipped out on loan this term.
Knockaert hasn’t exactly lit up the Championship so far this season, but you’d be hard pressed to find anybody at Forest who has been at their best this season as the Midlands outfit are in a relegation battle.
However, despite his poor output in terms of goals and assists, he’s clearly doing something to impress Forest fans as they seemed pleased to hear he was staying.
Here’s what the City Ground faithful have been saying on social media…
Technically far superior to anything else we have at the club at the moment. Let’s get behind him! Show him how amazing it can be to pull on the Garibaldi!
