SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
Some Fulham fans on social media have been raving over the performance of Ola Aina in the game against Southampton at Craven Cottage.
It seems as though Fulham have finally sorted their defensive problems out, and that’s been at least partially down to the emergence of Aina as a right-sided centre-half in a back five.
The Nigerian had a ropey start to his career at Fulham, with his debut being something of a nightmare performance in a 3-0 loss to Brentford in the Carabao Cup, but since then he’s improved drastically.
Indeed, since moving into a more central role, Aina has looked calm and composed alongside Joachim Andersen and Tosin Adarabioyo, and his showing against Southampton was perhaps his best performance yet.
Aina had been positionally suspect in the past, particularly against Everton earlier this season, but today he held his shape well and played his part in an organised backline.
Perhaps the best indicator of how organised the Whites were at the back was the fact that Southampton had two goals disallowed by VAR as Fulham perfectly held their line.
Aina barely put a foot wrong against the Saints, and we can only hope that this sort of performance continues.
Here’s what the Craven Cottage faithful have been saying on social media…
Gotta say though… Aina our MOTM today, HUGE improvement, seems to suit this formation. #ffc

Ola Aina is improving every week for us and he’s been outstanding so far today. Never thought we’d see these sort of performances after his shaky debut in the Cup but he’s turning out to be a fantastic signing #ffc
